History:
This organization was first established on the grounds of Binghamton University in the spring semester of 1996. Delta Epsilon Mu was initiated with a goal of uniting students interested in entering various health professions. The founding fathers united their interests in building a co-ed pre-health fraternity, which could serve Binghamton University students by exposing them to professionals from various health fields. They also wanted to inform students about today’s health concerns in order for them to learn more about health policies and aid them in choosing a field of interest to enter post graduation. DEM was formed for the benefits of its members and all students within campus. A large part of the fraternity’s interests were focused on serving the community by uniting people of different age groups to help each other learn from each other. The two goals of helping and learning was what Delta Epsilon Mu was established to promote.
