FRATERNITY/SORORITY RECOGNITION AND GOVERNANCE

The Binghamton University Fraternity/Sorority Recognition and Governance Document is an official Binghamton University document, NOT a Professional Fraternity Council document. The polices outlined in that document are binding on all professional and social fraternity/sorority organizations and councils active on the Binghamton University campus without exception. Understand that although some of the clauses are somewhat antiquated and/or do not specifically reference professional fraternities/sororities, it is nonetheless binding. The University administration is currently amending the Governance document and an updated version which addresses the short comings of this current version, will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

This version of the Fraternity/Sorority Recognition and Governance Document is a more updated and amended version, which was provided by the Interim Greek Life Director. However, this version also contains somewhat antiquated and ambiguous language. We anticipate a new and amended version to be issued shortly, though currently, this is the most recent version avilable. Once an updated version is released it will be posted.
