Greek Life at Binghamton University is one of the most amazing experiences students will ever have during their college careers. About 20% of BU students have joined Greek Life and new fraternity and sorority chapters have been opening up every year. The Professional Fraternity Council at Binghamton is a student organization, charted by the administration and recognized by Greek Life as self governing. The Professional Fraternities which make up the council are all nationally recognized for their academic, professional, philanthropic and social achievements. The Professional Fraternity Council has helped students prepare for life after college and the Council has witnessed great expansion over the past couple of years with two new professional fraternities added during the 2007-2008 year.
